- Attended Tucker (Georgia) High School and was an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super 11, Super Southern 100 and Class AAAA All-State choice as a senior.
- Rushed for 1,632 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior and in seven games during his senior season, added 941 yards and 17 scores.
